It took me literally months to finnish this piece and it was driving me mad.
When I've read Vampire Armand for the first time (10 years ago) I wanted to paint him as he was described, as one of Botticelli's angels. I wanted to imitate his painting style and the tempera technique. Ten years ago i was absolutely unable to do it, of course. I took the challenge now.
I believe it's a way in which Marius himself would paint him.
